Google Ads implemented a new Mobile Speed Score for Landing Pages
Google Ads changed the way to calculate the mobile speed score, which appears in the Landing Pages tab. The mobile speed score algorithm has been increased to get fewer ad clicks to calculate a score. This update helps advertisers allows to see a mobile speed score for more of their pages.
Although this change generates faster when launching ads that point to newly published landing pages.
Google has not specified how many ad clicks are now required to generate a mobile speed score.
Mobile speed score is assumed on a 10-point scale, 1 being very slow and 10 being too fast.
Factors that are calculating mobile speed score include the page speed itself and potential conversion rate.
Google Ads already implemented the mobile speed score in July 2018. This update is the first major change in how the score is calculated since it launched.
Different type of tools offered by Google to calculate mobile page speed and Speed Scorecard also included, that is comparing mobile speed against competitors, and the result Calculator, which calculates probability revenue has been lost because of having a slow mobile site.
